Tallow Lip Balm Recipe

If you’re tired of synthetic ingredients and petroleum-based lip products, this ultra-moisturizing tallow lip balm is a simple, effective alternative. With just three nourishing ingredients, you can create a balm that deeply hydrates and protects your lips without any fillers, dyes, or seed oils.

The key ingredient to this balm is Paleovalley Grass Fed Beef Tallow — a rich, vitamin-packed fat that’s been used for centuries in skincare. Tallow is naturally abundant in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, which support skin regeneration and barrier repair. It also closely mimics the oils our skin produces, making it ideal for lip care.

Beeswax adds a protective barrier that locks in moisture, while a touch of natural flavor from food-grade extracts like peppermint, orange, almond, or vanilla gives each swipe a subtle scent and taste that’s completely customizable. Peppermint offers a refreshing tingle, orange gives a bright citrus twist, vanilla is warm and comforting, and almond lends a soft, sweet aroma.

Unlike commercial lip balms that often rely on synthetic emollients or seed oils, this balm provides deep, lasting hydration with ingredients your skin can recognize.
